Elisabeth

Over the last few years as an avid rider and now instructor at wapley I have really enjoyed the technical aspects of not only riding but schooling of horses as well.

The many challenges of dressage and show jumping provide endless hours of training for both horses and riders and I love accompanying people on that journey be they young or more advanced in years.

Jo

Jo first joined Wapley Stables many years ago when she brought her daughter for riding lessons, and before long, Jo became part of the team as the administrator for the riding school.

In her role, Jo ensures every customer receives a warm welcome upon arrival and that all enquiries from phone calls, emails to lesson bookings are handled efficiently and accurately. As the proud owner of her own horse, Billy, Jo also brings valuable knowledge and experience in all aspects of horse care, adding an extra layer of understanding and support to the stables

Lia

I am an instructor at Wapley and joined the team in June 2021. I have been riding for over 20 years, doing a bit of everything from jumping to dressage. In my youth I competed and won a few rosettes at local shows in showing and dressage.

I love spending as much time as possible with horses on the ground and in the saddle, I particularly enjoy finding imaginative polework exercises use in both my own riding and in lessons! I really enjoy being part of the wapley team and helping children and adults learn to ride.

Emily

Hi, I’m Emily!
I began riding at the age of 14 and quickly discovered a true passion for horses. I started volunteering regularly at my yard, eager to learn as much as possible about horse care and riding.
Over time, my interest grew into a career path, and I completed my apprenticeship here at Wapley Stables, achieving a recognised qualification in horse care and riding. I began loaning horses to gain further experience, and this eventually led to owning my own horse, Nellie.
I enjoy working at Wapley and have a particular interest in helping young horses develop and progress. I’m excited to continue building my skills and experience as part of the team.

Hi, I’m Libby!
My passion for horses began in my early teens, when I started taking riding lessons and assisting with horse care. Over the years, this passion has grown, and I now proudly own two horses. I have achieved my Level 2 Equine Groom qualification and am eager to continue expanding my skills and knowledge, gaining further experience and qualifications to advance my career in the equestrian world.

Julia

Hi, I’m Julia!
I’ve been around horses since I was six, spending every holiday at a stable, and quickly fell in love with their cheeky personalities and the unique bonds they form with people.
Riding has always been a passion of mine, and I previously worked as a horse riding instructor, an experience that brought me great joy. I am an animal lover at heart and value building meaningful connections, both with horses and people.
Beyond my equestrian work, I have a deep appreciation for nature, music, art, and hiking, which keep me inspired and grounded. Working with and caring for the horses at Wapley Stables is not just a job for me it’s my passion.

Sophie

Hi I’m Sophie, I have been riding since the age of six and have had the privilege of working with horses of all sizes, temperaments, and disciplines.
Over the years, I have gained experience across a variety of areas, including show jumping, dressage, and long-distance riding in the country. Each aspect of equestrianism offers its own unique rewards, and what I value most now is the opportunity to share that passion with others. Whether helping a rider build confidence in the saddle or passing along the techniques and insights I’ve developed throughout my journey, I take great pride in supporting others as they grow in their own riding experience.  I look forward to working with you and supporting your progress as you advance on your riding journey.
